Tannishtha learning Marathi for 'Sunrise'

National award winning actress Tannishtha Chatterjee finds her role in Indo-French project 'Sunrise' complex and is also learning Marathi for it.

Tannishtha collected national award for her movie 'Dekh Indian Circus'. She received the special mention award this year for her performance in the film.

The actress will be seen in director Partho Sen Gupta's Indo-French film 'Sunrise'.

"I am quite excited about 'Sunrise'. I am playing a very interesting and difficult role. I play a woman who has stopped in time, she hasn't moved on. She is living ten years back. Time has stopped for her. It is a very complex but fabulous role," Tannishtha told PTI.
 

The actress mentioned that she is learning Marathi to essay her role with perfection. "The film requires me to speak in Hindi, Marathi and a bit of French. I am learning Marathi. We have a tutor for it," she said.

Tannishtha will also be seen alongside Madhuri Dixit and Juhi Chawla in 'Gulab Gang'.

"I don't have too many scenes with Juhi, but have a number of scenes with Madhuri. She is such a delight to work with. She is so real and grounded," Tannishtha said.

The dusky beauty reveals that they did stunts on their own for the film.

"We all had trainers. They trained us well. But we all did our own stunts, fight scenes. It was wonderful," she said.
