Gogoi, who also holds the Finance portfolio in the state, will be joining the official Indian delegation led by Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and Chairman of the Empowered Committee of State Finance Ministers Sushil Kumar Modi in Tokyo in the deliberations on GST.
Some other members of the Indian delegation will arrive in Tokyo after completing their study on GST in Canada.
The chief minister will be accompanied by Commissioner and Secretary (Finance) R C Joshi, Commissioner (Taxes) John B Ekka and Special Protocol Officer to Chief Minister, Bipul Gogoi.
The Chief Minister will return to New Delhi on September 26.
