Tata Motors global sales rise 17% in February

Tata Motors today reported a 17 per cent increase in its global sales, including that of Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) vehicles, at 99,842 units in February.

The company had sold 85,360 units in February 2015, Tata Motors said in a statement.

In the passenger vehicles category, global sales stood at 63,672 units last month as against 53,878 units in February 2015, up 18 per cent.

Sales of luxury brand Jaguar Land Rover rose 31 per cent to 52,313 units last month as compared to 39,942 units in February 2015.

The company's sales of commercial vehicles in February was up 15 per cent to 36,170 units from 31,482 units a year ago.
