Tata Motors in service pact in Africa with Total Lubrifiants

Tata Motors today said it has tied up with Total Lubrifiants, a leading global integrated oil and gas firm, for after-market service of commercial vehicles in parts of Africa.

Under the partnership, Total Lubrifiants will supply its branded lubricants and special products across the Tata Motors sales & service points in African markets other than South Africa, the Indian auto major said in a release here.

The after-service agreement aims at ensuring the right oil grade for delivering stringent lubrication requirements of Tata Motors commercial vehicles, it said.

Total Lubrifiants is the market leader in Africa, where it operates in 43 countries.
 

Commenting on the agreement, Tata Motors Global Head for Customer Care (Commercial Vehicles) Sanjeev Garg said, "Through our partnership with Total Lubrifiants, we will provide our customers with superior quality lubricants, developed specially for Tata Motors commercial vehicles, enhancing the performance of our engines, gearboxes and drivelines."

With this partnership, Total Lubrifiants will also jointly support in the modernisation of Tata Motors workshops across Africa, the company said.

Tata Motors is the first CV manufacturer in Africa to offer a pan-Africa warranty called TATA -X-TEND. Under this, customers can avail warranty and service support across Africa, irrespective of the country of purchase within the continent, the release added.
