Shares of Tata Motors today gained nearly 3 per cent after the company reported 1.93 per cent increase in total sales in February.
The stock went up by 2.66 per cent to end at Rs 461.05 on BSE. During the day, it gained 4.18 per cent to Rs 467.90.
The stock was the biggest gainer among the 30-Sensex components.

At NSE, shares of the company rose by 2.72 per cent to close at Rs 461.70.
Led by the gain in the stock, the company's market valuation went up by Rs 2,860.82 crore to Rs 1,32,530.82 crore.
In terms of volume, 10.50 lakh shares of the company were traded on BSE and over one crore shares changed hands at NSE during the day.
Tata Motors yesterday reported 1.93 per cent increase in total sales in February at 47,573 units compared to 46,674 in the same month last year.
Domestic sales of Tata Motors' commercial and passenger vehicles were at 42,679 units in February as against 41,532 units in the same month last year, up 2.76 per cent, the company said in a BSE filing.
Sales of passenger vehicles in the domestic market grew by 12 per cent to 12,272 units last month on the back of robust sales of hatchback Tiago, Tata Motors said.
