Tata Motors Vice Chairman Ravi Kant retires

Tata Motors today said Non-Executive Vice Chairman Ravi Kant retired on May 31.

Kant retired on attaining the age of 70 as per the company's policy, the Mumbai-based auto firm said in a statement.

Kant was Managing Director of the company from July 2005 to June 2009 and thereafter Non-Executive Vice Chairman.

"On behalf of the board and Tata Motors I would like to thank Ravi for his valuable contribution in the growth and development of the company. I wish him all the best for the future," Tata Motors Chairman Cyrus P Mistry said in the statement.
