Aiming to promote energy conservation, city discom Tata Power today launched a scheme under which it will offer a range of LED products to its customers at rebates of up to 60 per cent.
The power major has entered into an agreement with Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd (CGCEL) in this regard.
Tata Power Delhi Distribution Ltd (TPDDL) customers in north and north-west Delhi will be able to avail the benefits of the scheme.

"LED lighting products with 11 assortments such as tubelights, panels and down lighters would be offered to the customers at discounted rates to increase the penetration of LED which will result in energy saving and reduction in customers' electricity bills," a TPDDL spokesperson said.
The programme will run for six months during which the products will be available at counters set up at TPDDL customer care centres on weekdays between 10 AM and 5 PM and between 10 AM and 1 PM on Saturdays.
The company said supplanting of CFLs and FTLs with LED alternatives would bring energy savings of up to 40 to 50 per cent and the products will carry a guarantee of two years with the exception of LED bulbs where it will be three years.
