A Tata Steel employee today conquered the Mount Everest as per the report received from Ground Zero, a company release said.
27-year-old Hemant Gupta, a B Tech in Metallurgical Engineering & Material Science from IIT Bombay conquered the Mount Everest at around 6.25 am this morning, the release said.
Payo Murmu, another employee of Tata Steel, who was also on this expedition with Hemant Gupta was not able to make the final attempt towards the summit due to inclement weather. Both the mountaineers are expected to be back at Base Camp by tomorrow, the release said.
