Tata Steel gets JSPCB award for environment protection

Tata Steel bagged the prestigious Jharkhand State Pollution Control Board (JSPCB) award for the commendable work done in the field of environment protection and improvement.

The award was given on 'World Environment Day' at a seminar on "Environment Responsibility for Sustainable Development" organized at Ranchi by Jharkhand State Pollution Control Board, a Tata Steel press release today said.

The award was presented by A K Mishra, Chairman, Jharkhand State Pollution Control Board (JSPCB) while Satish Singh, Chief Resident Executive, Ranchi, Tata Steel and Shubhanand Mukesh, Head, Environment, Tata Steel, Jamshedpur received the award on behalf of the Company.

In keeping with its commitment towards Environmental Sustainability, the Company has adopted several best available Iron and Steel making technologies and with its signature operational improvement program KVHS, has achieved some of the remarkable environmental performances and operating results.
