Tata Steel Managing Director T V Narendran has been appointed as the chairman of the governing board of XLRI-Xavier School of Management, Jamshedpur.
"Mr Narendran has a rich blend of experience both in the domestic and international business arena. In this era of globalisation, his valuable insights would be greatly beneficial to our stakeholders and he would be looked upon as a role model by our student community," XLRI director Fr E Abraham said in a statement issued today.
Narendran succeedes H M Nerurkar as the chairman of the board of the premier B-school.
