Tata Steel opens NRBC centre at Katepada village

Private steel major Tata Steel opened yet another Non-Residential Bridge Course (NRBC) centre for school drop-outs at Katepada village in adjoining West Singhbhum district today.

Geeta Koda, MLA Jagannathpur graced the occasion as chief guest and inaugurated the NRBC centre in the presence of R P Mali, chief of Noamundi, Tata Steel, K C Das, Head, Administration (OMQ),Tata Steel, a Tata Steel press release said.

This is the fifth NRBC centre inaugurated in Jagannathpur Block.

Tata Steel has partnered with ASPIRE, a Delhi based NGO working in the field of education to run this project.

The objective of the NRBC centre is to identify the school dropout children in the Blocks and mainstream them in the formal school system.
