Singer Taylor Swift has become the highest paid female musician for 2016.
According to the Forbes' list with USD 170 million, Swift has replaced pop star Katy Perry in pole position.
Most of the 26-year-old singer's earnings came from her album '1989' world tour, which smashed the Rolling Stones' North American touring record, pulling in a quarter of a billion dollars.

Madonna is at number three, after her recent Rebel Heart tour grossed USD 170 million.
While Rihanna (USD 75 million) and Beyonce (USD 54 million) are at fourth and fifth position respectively, Perry is relegated to number six.
Others who have made it to the list are Jennifer Lopez, Britney Spears, Shania Twain and Celine Dion.
