TCI Q1 net profit up 17.38% to Rs 18.77 cr

Transport Corporation of India (TCI) today reported a 17.38 per cent increase in standalone net profit at Rs 18.77 crore for the quarter ended June.

TCI, which is an integrated supply chain solutions provider, had posted a net profit of Rs 15.99 crore in the corresponding quarter of 2014-15.

Its total income from operations during April-June quarter of this fiscal went up to Rs 548.30 crore from Rs 520.18 crore in the year-ago period.

Total expenses increased to Rs 519.68 crore during the first quarter against Rs 491.35 crore in the year-ago period.

The company recorded Rs 4.01 crore other income during the quarter against Rs 0.38 crore in the corresponding period of last fiscal.
 

Shares of the company closed at Rs 266.50 apiece on the BSE yesterday, down 0.41 per cent from the previous close.
