TCS is leader in software testing services: report

India's IT major Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has been recognised as a leader among 24 companies in all categories of software testing services, according to a research-based report.

TheNelsonHall Vendor Evaluation and Assessment (NEAT) report 2016, analysed and indicated the overall performance of leading global vendors offering software testing services.

NelsonHall evaluated 24 companies for NEAT based on various parameters.

TCS was recognised as a leader in all the categories, namely Overall, Efficiency, Consulting, Transformation and Digital Focus.

In the NEAT profile, TCS was acknowledged for its strong progress in go-to-market strategy, comprehensive testing service portfolio and a solid positioning in digital and mobile testing.
 

TCS' leadership in platform-based services was also emphasized, with its in-house tools - NETRA and 360 Degree Assurance - being highlighted.

NelsonHall credited TCS' 360 Degree Assurance tool that leverages AI, machine learning, and cognitive software, as providing an edge over competitors in Agile and DevOps.

"TCS is proud to be recognised as a leader in the NelsonHall NEAT Vendor Evaluation for the second year running. It is a testament to our expertise in software testing, next generation assurance methodologies and the digital services and solutions we offer that enable our customers to succeed," Jayashree Natarajan, Global Head, Assurance Services, TCS said.

The Assurance Services Unit at TCS also has over 65 mature Technology Centers of Excellence (TCoE) and over 31,000 Assurance professionals - of which almost 28,000 are certified in assurance tools.

The Assurance Services team has also filed over 32 patents in the software assurance space.

"TCS' Assurance Services team is one of the leaders in this space, notably for its delivery network and its investment in developing automation platforms in DevOps and increasingly in AI," Dominique Raviart, Research Director at NelsonHall and author of Software Testing Services NEAT 2016 report said.
