IT firm Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has inked a pact with Andhra University to help transform the Andhra University School of Distance Education (AUSDE) into a digital university.
This will enable easy access to a larger number of students wanting to avail courses offered by the prestigious institute, TCS said in a statement today.
As part of the agreement, AUSDE will deploy the TCS' iON platform to help bring online all key services offered by the University School including student admissions, academic course content, examination management as well as regular administrative services.

Amazon ties up with ClearTax to help sellers get GST ready * E-commerce major Amazon.In has partnered ClearTax, an online income tax service for individuals and businesses, to offer GST software solutions to sellers on its platform.
This ready to use cloud-based GST software will help sellers of Amazon transition smoothly to the new GST regime, Amazon.In said in a statement.
The software would provide GST compliant invoicing, helps adhere with regulations, stay on top of reconciliations and allow timely preparation of GST returns, it added.
The software will be available for free in the first two months after sign up. The software will be subsequently provided at 30 per cent discount for sellers registered with Amazon India.

BLS Intl inks contract with Islamic Republic of Afghanistan * BLS International Services, an Indian service provider for outsourcing of visa, passport and attestation services, has signed a contract with Embassy of Afghanistan in UAE.
Under this partnership, BLS International will be providing consular services through registration of Afghan citizens, etc, it said in a statement.
As per the contract, BLS international will open application centres in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain and Qatar for the Embassy of Afghanistan, it added.
This contract has been signed to provide efficient and well-organised services to Afghan citizens who are living in Gulf zone countries.
No financial details of the deal were disclosed.
