TCS signs deal to digitise AP distance education university

The country's largest software exporter TCS today said it has won a deal to transform Andhra University School of Distance Education into a digital varsity.

The varsity will deploy TCS iON Platform to get services like student admissions, academic course content, examination management and regular administrative services online, it said in a statement.

"Digitalisation of any university is imperative to sustain excellence...Every stakeholder of the university will be able to engage with ease and be confident of getting the highest level of services on-time without any deficiency," TCS iON's global head V Ramaswamy said.

Mid-sized private sector lender Yes Bank today said it has signed a 'green finance charter' with three European financiers.

Along with FMO of Netherlands, DEG of Germany and Proparco of France, Yes Bank has committed to mobilise green investments and seize opportunities in sunrise sectors.

"Green Financing has become a propeller of the global sustainability agenda and will play a mission critical role in meeting India's climate targets," the bank's chief executive and managing director, Rana Kapoor, said.
