TCS' talent management platform to power Bajaj Finance

Software major TCS today said non-bank lender Bajaj Finance will be implementing its human resource management solution for the 6,000-strong workforce.

TCS' 'Chroma' platform will help Pune-headquartered client enhance the new generation HR experience, it said in a statement.

Using the platform, the client can manage recruitment, on-boarding, employee life-cycle processes, performance management, leave management, payroll, and performance appraisal, it added.

PwC appoints Joydeep Roy as partner in the advisory practice * PwC India has appointed Joydeep Kumar Roy as a partner in the advisory practice.

He will lead PwC's insurance and allied business practice in the country, a company statement said today.
 

Joydeep was the founder chief executive of L&T General Insurance Company and a part of the founding team of Tata AIG Life Insurance in the country in past.

He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master's in Business Administration from IIM Calcutta.

Kalaari announces key appointments in leadership team * Kalaari Capital today announced key additions to the leadership team to further strengthen their lead in early stage technology investments in India.

Prashanth Aluru (ex Partner, Bain & Company) joined as Partner, while Pooja Gupta (ex- Head of HR, Myntra) is on board as Head - Portfolio HR.

In addition, Kalaari's unique seed program, Kstart, has added Muthiah Venkateswaran as Partner. The trio is expected to spearhead the multi vertical growth of Kalaari's portfolio companies, it said in a statement.

Metro Cash & Carry opens fifth outlet in Bengaluru * German multinational cash-&-carry wholesaler Metro Cash & Carry opened its fifth outlet in Bengaluru.

With the new outlet, Metro boasts 21 wholesale outlets in 13 cities across the country, supported by a strong network of regional and national suppliers and a vast base of business customers, it said in a statement.
Parentlane gets funding from Cloudnine Hospitals co-founder

* Parentlane, an online platform focussed on child development, has received undisclosed funding from Rohit MA, co-founder and Managing Director of Cloudnine Hospitals.

Rohit has invested the amount through Capier Investments.

"We believe that his strategic inputs on helping new age parents during early child development would be greatly valuable as we ramp up the offerings on the Parentlane app and evolve as the most trusted brand among parents during this life changing experience," Parentlane CEO and co-founder Vijay Anand said.

The company is incubated at Accel Partners Launch pad, Bangalore.

Nikhil Rungta joins Intuit India as Managing Director * Former Housing.Com executive Nikhil Rungta has joined Intuit India as its Managing Director.

He will be responsible for the overall business for the country and will be looking at accelerating growth for products like QuickBooks, an online business and financial management software, Intuit said in a statement.

Rungta has previously served as the chief marketing officer at Housing.Com. He has also worked with large corporates and startups like Shaw Wallace, Yatra.Com, Reliance Jio and Google.

Ecom Express appoints Dilip Sharma as SVP & Head-Country Ops * Ecom Express, a logistics solutions provider for the ecommerce industry, has appointed Dilip K Sharma as Senior Vice President and Head-Country Operations.

In this new position, Sharma will work closely with the leadership team in spearheading operations with technology-led solutions, the company said in a statement.

In his previous role at Flipkart, he headed the third party logistics (3PL) operations for the fulfilment service ecosystem (FSE) of the company.

He has also worked with Startrek Logistics (Spoton) and TNT India.
