YSR Congress Party has not been able to win any elections because its chief Jaganmohan Reddy and his father, the late YS Rajasekhara Reddy, did nothing for the development of the state, TDP leader Nara Lokesh charged here today.

"Jagan suffered a backlash from the people in the elections as he and his father did nothing for the development of Andhra Pradesh," Lokesh, son of AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and the TDP national general secretary, said at a public meeting in the Cheedikada area of the district as part of 'Jana Chaitanya Yatra'.

Jaganmohan's father was a two-time Andhra Pradesh chief minister.

Taking a swipe at Jagan, who owns a television channel and a Telugu language newspaper, Lokesh said that TDP has no plans to start any television news channel or newspaper to propagate the party ideology and promote its leaders.

He also appealed to TDP workers to promote among the people the welfare schemes launched by the TDP government.
