TDP-BJP combine bags 15 Lok Sabha seats in Seemandhra region

The TDP-BJP combine has bagged 15 Lok Sabha seats out of the total 25 in the Seemandhra region, while YSR Congress won in eight parliamentary constituencies.

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) was successful in two other parliamentary constituencies, namely Vijayawada and Machilipatnam, although a formal announcement is expected later tonight.

The TDP candidate for the Srikakulam Lok Sabha seat, K Rammohan Naidu, won by a thumping majority whereas sitting MP and Union Minister Killi Kruparani lost her security deposit.

TDP's alliance partner BJP bagged the Visakhapatnam and Narasapuram parliamentary constituencies in the coastal Andhra region.

BJP's K Haribabu trounced YS Vijayamma, the YSR Congress nominee who is also her party's honorary president.
 

Union ministers Panabaka Lakshmi and K Suryaprakash Reddy lost in the Bapatla and Kurnool Lok Sabha constituencies, respectively.
