The two-day annual conclave 'Mahanadu' of Chandrababu Naidu-led Telugu Desam, the main Opposition party in Andhra Pradesh, will begin here tomorrow.
The "grand success" of Naidu's 2,800-km Vastunna Meekosam foot march has infused fresh buoyancy in the party that has been confined to the Opposition for the past nine years.
"People are determined to bring the TDP back to power to save Andhra Pradesh from the clutches of the corrupt Congress and the evil YSR Congress. People feel the TDP's return to power is a historical need," Chandrababu Naidu told PTI on the eve of the Mahanadu.

"In some places there is TRS and in some places YSRC but across the state it will be a direct fight between TDP and Congress," he said.
The YSRC's lot has been diminishing day-by-day while the TRS never had a record of doing well in general elections, he pointed out.
Chandrababu, who had been the state Chief Minister for a record nine years, remains unperturbed despite many MLAs and senior leaders quitting the party.
"It's only the leaders who quit the party, not the cadres. The so-called leaders who left the party have become irrelevant. Our cadre base is very solid up to the village level. Added to it is the people's confidence and affection towards the party," he added.
The TDP chief asserted that corruption would indeed be the main issue in the next elections.
"We have seen how corrupt governments were voted out in neighbouring Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. The same would happen here as well since the roots of corruption are in AP. People are not going to tolerate corruption anymore," he noted.
The TDP would adopt resolutions on a host of issues like corruption, price rise, farmers' problems and political scenario at the Mahanadu.
