In a letter to the Chief Minister, Legislative Council Opposition Leader Dadi Veerabhadra Rao held him responsible for vitiating the peaceful atmosphere in the north coastal Andhra town by encouraging Congressmen to undertake a counter-agitation and deploying thousands of policemen only to thwart the Leader of Opposition N Chandrababu Naidu's democratic protest.

"What was the message you wanted to convey to the people by creating an Emergency-like situation because of your differences with PCC president Botsa Satyanarayana? The entire episode only exposed your inefficiency and dictatorial attitude", Dadi lashed out.

"That you are in such a helpless position wherein you are unable to control one minister, reflects the height of your inefficiency as Chief Minister. If the Vizianagaram incidents happened with your knowledge and approval, you owe an apology to the people. If not, take immediate action against Botsa and the officials responsible", the TDP senior leader demanded.

Yesterday Chandrababu Naidu had staged a dharna in Vizianagaram seeking a crackdown on the liquor mafia even as the Congress organised a counter-agitation defying prohibitory orders clamped by police.
