The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has appealed to the Andhra Pradesh Chief Election Officer (CEO) to probe missing voters' names in Vijayawada city.

TDP Krishna district president D Umamaheswara Rao told reporters here today after polling that in many divisions, hundreds of voters complained that their names were removed from lists though they resided in the same house since the last assembly election.

He also appealed to the CEO to take up the issue with the district collector on the failure of officials to properly distribute Electoral Photo Identity Cards (EPIC) to all voters. Though names were found in lists, many voters did not get their EPIC and failed to cast their vote.
