The two assailants came on a motorcycle and shot at the manager of Saraswati Tea Estate when he was going to the garden at Talap, officials said.
The manager, identified as Chabi Das Gupta, was injured on his left hand and has been admitted to the Doomdooma Civil Hospital, they said.
