Teacher among three arrested for fraud

The arrested have been identified as Sandeep Dabas, an english teacher, and two students Mohit and Ramandeep Singh, Sindhu Pillai, Deputy Commissioner of Police (North), said.

"Yesterday, the flying squad of Delhi University came to the exam centre in Roop Nagar and nabbed two boys along with solved answer sheets who were trying to enter the Centre.

"The roll number mentioned on the answer sheets were checked and it was found that the candidates of this roll number have already left the centre after handing over their answer sheets to the invigilators," she said.

Dabas was functioning as examination-in-charge on behalf of Principal Harpal Singh.

 

"He permitted candidates to leave the examination center before the permitted time and candidates were told to bring the solved answer scripts before 6 pm at the centre so that these answer sheets could be deposited with the answer sheets of other candidates by putting proper stamp on these answer scripts.

"Each candidate has to pay Rs 2000/- for each exam paper," Pillai said.

Mohit is a student of final year BCom in Khalsa College while Ramandeep is a student of BCom Final year from School of Open Learning of University of Delhi.
