A teacher of a private school in Haryana's Nissing town was arrested today for allegedly sexually assaulting one of his students, police said.
The 20-year-old student of SD Model School today lodged a complaint against her physical education teacher Manoj Kumar allegeding that he sexually assaulted her, they said.
She alleged that Kumar assaulted her several times between January and March this year when she studying in Class XII, the police added.
The victim passed out of school this year.
The police said that the victim had attempted suicide last evening by jumping in a canal near Nissing, but was rescued by a passerby.
An investigation is underway.
