Teacher makes students sing, dance; taken off as examiner

CBSE has taken off a teacher from external examination duty after the high-profile Sanskriti School in Chanakyapuri area here complained that the examiner made students to sing and dance during the viva for Physics practical examination.

The class 12 students complained to the school principal that the examiner asked them "irrelevant" questions including queries on cricket and Bollywood, and they were made to sing and dance during their viva.

School authorities said that the principal Abha Sehgal, reported the matter to CBSE responsible for conducting the exams.

When contacted, a senior CBSE official said a complaint has been received on the incident.
 

"We received the complaint yesterday and the teacher concerned has been withdrawn as examiner from the school for the rest of the practical examinations," the official said.
