Students at Hampshire High School watched erotic thriller "Fifty Shades of Grey" after convincing their teacher for it as a reward for their good behaviour.

However, the teacher claimed that she was not familiar with the movie. She even didn't know what the movie was about, reported Ace Showbiz.

The request was made by an all girls class. A female student took a DVD copy of the Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan starrer movie to school.

"Fortunately, an assistant principal walked by and saw what they were doing," told the Principal of school to The Hampshire Review.

He said that the movie was screened for 10 minutes before being stopped. Fortunately, none of the sexually-explicit scenes were shown.

It is unclear if the students or teacher will be punished since school policy doesn't allow students to watch movies during class, regardless of rating.

"Fifty Shades of Grey" is an adaptation of EL James' erotic book of the same title, released in February this year.
