A teacher of a government
run primary school was placed under suspension for allegedly indulging in immoral act with a woman in the school premises in Jajpur district, an official said today.
A probe was conducted after the residents of Chandapur village lodged a complaint about the incident and subsequently the teacher was suspended, said Block Education Officer (BEO) of Rasulpur, Prafulla Kumar Behera.

The teacher has been identified as Md Nasim Khan (29), who worked as a Urdu teacher in Chandpur primary school under Rasulpur block for the last 5 years, officials said.
"We received the complaint from the villagers on Tuesday and directed the Additional BEOs Gayadhar Nanda and Santanu Kumar Kar to conduct a probe into the incident. Md Nasim Khan has been suspended from the service on the joint report by the Additional BEOs," said BEO Behera.
The teacher is accused of having taken the woman to the school premises and the villagers reportedly caught him while having with her in a compromising position on Monday night, he said.
The teacher who hails from Binjharpur in the district had been staying in the school as his residence is about 35 kms from his school. Villagers alleged that he used to take women into the school premises for immoral act.
Though Dharmasala police were informed about the incident, they are yet to take any action.
