Teachers' Day greetings from Arunachal Pradesh Governor, CM

Arunachal Pradesh Governor J P Rajkhowa and Chief Minister Nabam Tuki today greeted every member of the teaching community of the state on the occasion of Teachers' Day, which commemorates the birth anniversary of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, tomorrow.

The governor in his message expressed hope that the occasion would inspire members of the noble profession to rededicate themselves towards imparting knowledge and value-based education which are so essential for nation building.

Rajkhowa said education is the key to success in life, and teachers are the ones who can inspire hope, ignite the healthy learning habits in the young minds, arouse imagination and innovation, and instill love for learning in order to be knowledgeable and wise.
 

The Chief Minister conveyed his heartiest greetings and best wishes to teachers, "especially those serving in interior and rural places without basic facilities facing innumerable hardships."

In a message, Tuki called upon the students to recognize the services rendered by their teachers and give them their due in the form of love and respect.

Expressing concern over the dwindling relationship between teachers and students in the modern world, he appealed the younger generation to uphold the tradition of guru-shishya parampara.

Tuki also appealed the teachers to be sincere in their duties and uphold the sanctity of their profession.
