Hundreds of college teachers today organised a Parliament march, opposing the Government's alleged anti-faculty position adopted by the Centre.
The teachers participated in the march organised by the All India Federation of University and College Teachers' Organisations (AIFUCTO) demanded control of private educational institutions, democratisation of management of educational institutions and strengthening of government and aided education sectors.
The teachers asked the Government to withdraw the amended UGC Regulations 2013, which, according to them, would affect the career advancement of teachers.

They also raised the issues including the government funding in higher education and privatisation of higher education.
The march was led by AIFUCTO president Tarun Patra, general secretary Ashok Burman and secretary K Jayakumar.
