Asked to respond to the BCCI decision agreeing to a three-match ODI series between the two arch-rivals, BJP spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain said, "The Pakistan cricket team had come to India earlier for the World Cup. The team of terrorists involved in the 26/11 attack should also be brought to India."
The opposition has often alleged that the UPA government is soft towards Pakistan on the issue of cross-border terrorism. It maintains that no talks should be held with Pakistan till it acts on the dossiers provided to it on 26/11 accused and the culprits living there are brought to book.
India and Pakistan have not played each other in a bilateral series for close to five years.
The decision to resume cricketing ties with Pakistan was taken by BCCI's powerful Working Committee, which met here today, much to the delight of cricket fans on both sides of the border.
Chennai, Kolkata and Delhi will host the ODIs against Pakistan.
