A 15-year-old girl today committed suicide after being teased by a group of youths in Maheshludi village under Muffassil police station in Giridih district, police said.
According to an FIR registered in this regard, a religious programme was going on the village and the girl had gone there to take part in it.
Some people teased her there and she returned home.
She told her family members about it and locked herself in her room. She was found hanging later, police said.
One person was arrested in connection with the incident.
