Techie held for supplying illicit liquor

A computer engineer was today arrested for allegedly supplying illicit liquor and on charges of being involved in some snatching cases between Haryana and Delhi, police said today.

Vinod (25) was arrested by Crime branch near Rani Bagh in North West Delhi after a tip off on Monday night. A vehicle used in robbery was recovered from him.

"We had information that he and his aides were indulging in trafficking illicit liquor from Haryana to Delhi and also committing road side robberies on his way back to Haryana," Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Ravindra Yadav said.

"Efforts are on to arrest the remaining gang members," he said.
 

Vinod, a computer engineer, had lost Rs 7 lakh in online trading of silver in a single deal and took to crime to repay his loan taken from various financiers, police added.
