The Madras High Court today reserved its order on a petition filed by the mother of Ramkumar, prime accused in the murder of a woman IT employee, seeking a CBI probe in the case.
Alleging tainted investigation by the police into the June 24 murder at a railway station here, petitioner Pushpam had moved the court seeking transfer of the probe to CBI.
The counsel for Pushpam alleged that the police had foisted a false case and were trying to shield someone involved in the murder.

The police were ready to submit all material before the court and leave the decision to it, the counsel said.
After hearing both the sides, Justice P N Prakash reserved his order without mentioning any date.
Swathi was murdered on a platform of Nungambakkam suburban railway stationonJune 24. Ramkumar was arrested from his residence in Meenakshipuram in Tirunelveli district onJuly 1 on the charge of murdering her.
