Technical glitch halts trading at BSE

The trading at the Bombay Stock Exchange has been halted since 0935 hours due to a technical glitch in the connectivity system.

The benchmark Sensex resumed with strength at 0915 hours and surged over 83 points to hit another record-high of 25,924.25 points in opening trade.

However, trading was halted at about 0935 hours due to a connectivity error.

"Due to a connectivity glitch, trading on the BSE has been halted since 0935 hours today and indices have stopped updating", said a BSE spokesman.

Meanwhile, the 50-issue NSE Nifty was up 13.90 points, or 0.18 per cent, to 7,739.05 after scaling a new record-high of 7,754.65 points in opening trade.
