Techno Brain mulling centre of excellence in Hyderabad

Nairobi-based custom software application provider Techno Brain is planning to set up Centre of Excellence (CoE) here and second R&D centre in India at a total investment of around USD 10 million, its chief executive officer Manoj Shanker said here today.

The software developer already has an R&D centre in Hyderabad.

"We entered India in 2009 and have invested $10 million till now. In the next two to three years, we plan to invest another $10 million in establishing a Centre of Excellence focussing on mobility, cloud and internet of things in Hyderabad and another R&D centre in a tier II or tier III city," Shankar said.
 

He said the company is in the process of identifying suitable location for the proposed R&D centre.

Shankar said the company may increase its headcount in Hyderabad to 400 from the existing 200 in the couple of years.

He said the company expect to clock USD 100 million revenues in the current fiscal against USD 60 million last year.

The company has been appraised at Level-5 of CMMI Institute's Capability Maturity Model Integration, Shankar said.

He added that the appraisal is indicative of the organisation performing at an 'optimising level'.
