'Teen Wolf' to end after sixth season

Popular American TV series "Teen Wolf" will go off air after its upcoming sixth season, set to return in November.

The sixth season will have 20 episodes and the series will its run with its 100th episode in 2017, said The Hollywood Reporter.

Producers and stars from the remake of the 1985 Michael J Fox feature film made the revelation during the show's annual Comic-Con panel.

"Teen Wolf has been an extraordinary journey, one that captured the hearts and imaginations of fans more than we could've ever imagined," said showrunner and executive producer Jeff Davis.

"We're eternally grateful for the support we've received over these past six years and we're excited to take our brave fans on one last, thrilling adventure."
 

The Comic-Con's appearance marked the seventh time the cast, including stars Tyler Posey, Holland Roden, Dylan Sprayberry, Cody Christian and Khylin Rhambo, made the trek to San Diego.

Fellow stars Ian Bohen and JR Bourne made a surprise appearance by storming the Comic-Con stage dressed as the show's newest villains, the Ghost Riders.
