A teenage boy allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at his home in Baramulla district of north Kashmir, police said today.
Mudasir Ahmad Shah (14) allegedly hanged himself at his home in Chander-Seer area of Baramulla last night, a police spokesperson said.
The boy's family rushed him to a local hospital but he died on the way, he added.
The motive behind Shah taking such an extreme step was not immediately known, the spokesman said, adding a case has been registered and investigations are on.
