A 15-year-old girl was
allegedly gangraped by four persons at Najibabad area here, police said today.
The incident took place yesterday when the girl, student of class IX at an Intermediate college here, was returning home and four youths took her to a secluded place and raped her, they said.
The victim's father lodged a complaint with the Superintendent of Police (SP) Dinesh Kumar, who subsequently ordered a probe into the matter.
One of the accused has been arrested and efforts are on to arrest the rest three, Najibabad Circle officer Sanjay Singh said.
On the basis of medical examination of the girl and her statement, proper action would be taken, he added.
