A 16-year-old girl, who was allegedly abducted by a man three months ago, was today rescued by police and the accused was arrested here, police said.
The girl was lured by the accused to run away with him in January after which he took her hostage and raped her several times, sector-20 police station in-charge Inspector Pratap Singh said, adding the accused used to also beat the girl.
Acting on a tip-off, the girl, a resident of sector-10, was rescued and the accused was arrested, he said.

In a separate incident, a man was booked for raping a girl on the pretext of marrying her in Mamura village of Phase-III here, police said.
The girl's father complained that the man raped her daughter for about a month on pretext of marriage. The accused yesterday ran away from Noida and returned to his native place in Bihar, Inspector Ummed Yadav said.
On the basis of the complaint, an FIR was registered against the accused for rape, the officer said, adding the matter is being probed.
