Teenaged boy missing "from school"

Police today started a case of kidnapping against unknown persons three days after a class X student of the Scottish Church Collegiate School, one of the oldest schools in the country.

Biseswar Pal (15) of Phoolbagan was reportedly missing from the school on Saturday, family members alleged.

School authorities, however, claimed that Biseswar was suspended from school over a month ago for tampering with his marksheet and was absent on Saturday.

Infuriated family members of Biseswar today held demonstration inside the 186-year-old school and police had to intervene, a senior police officer said.

A case of under Section 363 IPC (kidnapping) was recorded against unknown persons and search for the teenager was launched, he said.
