A suspected love tangle claimed four lives, including three members of a family who allegedly committed suicide at nearby Aluva today.
20-year old Mithun was run over by a train this morning, police said.
On hearing about his death, a couple and their 15-year old daughter, neighbours of Mithun, ended their lives by jumping infront of a passenger train.
Sudheer, his wife Bindu and daughter Akhila, a ninth standard student had gone to offer worship at a nearby temple before taking the extreme step.
Police said they suspect a love affair between the boy and the girl could be the reason behind tragedy.
