A student of class eight was raped by her classmate, who also threatened her, police said today.
On the basis of the statement of the 15-year-old girl, her classmate was booked for raping her on two occasions at her home after gaining forcible entry in the house, they said.
A case under various Sections of the IPC, including rape and threatening the victim, has been registered against the boy, who is yet to be arrested, ASI Janak Raj told reporters here.
He said the girl alleged in her complaint that after raping her, the accused threatened her with dire consequences if she narrated the incident to anyone.
The victim mentioned that the boy's father, who was an ASI rank officer in Punjab Police and posted in Amritsar, also threatened her on mobile to remain silent on this issue.
The girl told police she was raped on June 1 and again on June 6 at her home when she was alone.
Raj said medical examination of the girl confirmed rape.
