A teenager was arrested for allegedly attempting to rape a minor girl who was playing outside her school in the district, police said today.
The accused identified as Megharam Bheel (19) lured the girl while she was plying outside the school during recess in Phalsund area yesterday and took her to nearby bushes.
The girl raised an alarm when the accused attempted to rape her following which he fled from there leaving the girl, SP Jaisalmer Rajiv Pachar said.
He was later arrested under relevant sections of POCSO, he added.
