17-year-old Raja, a resident of west Delhi's Janta Enclave area, drowned yesterday at around 2.30 PM when he had gone to learn swimming, a senior police official said.

According to police, Raja was a class 12 student.

He used to go to the unauthorised pool to learn swimming but the pool lacked life-saving equipment.

The owner of the pool has been arrested for his alleged carelessness that led to the boy's death," the officer said.
