A Class XI student was murdered after being gang-raped in Kanpur Dehat, her family alleged today.
The girl was sexually assaulted and killed by her relatives after which her body was dumped yesterday in a farm in Tidua Yakubpur in the district, her family said in a police complaint.
Three persons have been arrested in this case, police said.
In another incident, a 16-year-old girl was attacked with a blade in Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh allegedly by an unidentified youth, when she tried to resist his sexual advances, leaving her critically injured, police said.
The incident took place yesterday in Paraswani village when the girl, also a Class XI student, was returning from school, Superintendent of Police Ratanlal Dangi said.
The accused allegedly stopped the girl on her way back home at an isolated place and attempted to outrage her modesty, he said.

When she resisted, he attacked her with a blade and fled when she raised an alarm, Dangi said.
The girl, who was profusely bleeding, has been admitted to a government hospital and is in a critical condition, he said.
In Patna, a second person has been arrested in the molestation of a woman passenger of an express train, who jumped off to save herself and was injured in the head and legs in Bihar's Bhojpur district.
The second alleged molester, Dinesh Kumar, has been arrested from Buxar, Inspector General of Police, Rail, Vinay Kumar told PTI.
Dinesh, a driver working in Patna, was a friend of army man, Ramesh Kumar, from Himachal Pradesh who was caught by an Assam Rifles man yesterday, Rail Superintendent of Police Suresh Chaudhary said.
Dinesh had come to see off his friend at the Patna junction yesterday, but also boarded the train and was involved in molesting the 30-year-old woman from Darjeeling, the SP said.
