Teenager shot dead over money dispute

A 16-year-old boy was shot dead by his two friends over some money-related dispute in Shamli district here, police said today.

The body of Rohit, a class X student was recovered today from a field in Shamli with bullet injuries, Circle Officer Nishank Sharma said, adding it has been sent for post mortem.

According to an FIR lodged by the deceased's uncle,Rohit had gone to a party with his two other friends last night and was shot by them over a money matter, said Sharma.

A case of murder has been registered against the two juveniles, aged between 15 to 16. The duo have been taken into custody in this connection and they have confessed their crime, Sharma added.
