He is just 15 but that has not stopped him from dreaming of being a golfer as great as Tiger Woods.

Zaffar Sikkander, Sri Lanka's youngest and one of the brightest upcoming golfing talents told PTI, "I am a huge fan of Tiger Woods. I think he has changed the whole approach toward the game. People now have started taking it up professionally."

Zaffar, whose's parents took him to the US to see Woods play at the AT&T National PGA Tour, said, "I have seen him very closely, I was only few feet away from him. I was thrilled. You can easily understand what makes Woods stand out among other golfers. He is an inspiration for us."

Already popular in the home circuit for being one of the promising golfers in country, Zaffar is determined to make it big in the international front too.

Besides winning several tourneys on home soil, Zaffar emerged winner in the boy's 13-15 category of last year's Greater Orlando Junior Golf Tour.

"That was a boost for me... I competed with junior golfers from the US, Mexico, South America. And winning is always a great experience," he said.

Selected for the six-member training camp for the Sri Lankan golf team for the Asian Games in September, Zaffar is hopeful of making it to the final squad.
