Teenager stabbed, robbed of Rs 8,000 in cash

A 19-year-old youth from Kerala was stabbed at a city bus stop by three fellow passengers, who also robbed him of cash worth Rs 8,000 today, police said.

The victim, hailing from Koratty town in neighbouring state, was on a pilgrimage and was about to take a bus for pilgrim town Palani from here.

He had share the plan of his travel with the trio and told them that he will also be carrying 8,000 rupees with him. When the victim boarded a train for Coimbatore yesterday, the accused also accompanied him, police said quoting the victim who is fighting for life in a government hospital.
 

The trio took the victim with them before he could take a bus they stabbed him multiple times. He fell on the ground unconscious, police said.

The three, then fled from the scene with the money,police said, adding some passersby saw the victim in blood and rushed him to the hospital.
