A teenager was killed when two persons allegedly stabbed him on the neck with a screwdriver inside an embroidery factory in the central part of the city, the police said today.

The incident happened when 19-year-old Mohammed Amin along with others of the Narkeldanga area under Narkeldanga Police Station protested against Ashish Khureshi and Mohammead Akram entering a stitching factory with a woman at around one am late last night, a senior officer Kolkata Police said.

Following the protest, there was an altercation between Amin, who was accompanied by three of his friends, and the duo, he said.

"During the scuffle one of the duo picked up a screwdriver from the place and stabbed Amin," the officer said adding that Amin was rushed to the Medical College where he was declared brought dead.

Though nobody was arrested in the case, the police launched a search for the duo, he said.
